Hey friends!!
I’m writing this Monday morning of the holiday week and I have so many things on my mind.
This time of year can feel extra tender. There’s joy, yes, but also aching. We feel the weight of empty chairs at the table, of friends struggling to get by, of stories we wish we could un-hear. And this week, in the quiet just before the new year, that weight feels even heavier.
But here’s the other thing on my mind: you are part of what helps carry it every single day.
Every single day at Table, I watch goodness show up, through a hot cup of coffee (or the best hot chocolate in the world), a conversation between strangers that becomes friendship (this is truly magical to watch), a family who doesn’t have to choose between dinner and the electric bill because you made a meal possible.
We are ending this year having served thousands of meals to our neighbors who needed them and every one of those meals came with a side of dignity, of being seen, of being loved. That’s because of you. Truly, thank you.
If you’ve been meaning to give, or to give again, now is the time. Your year-end donation will help us step into 2026 ready to hit the ground running and ready to keep showing up.
We can’t promise that 2026 will be easy. But I can promise you this: we’ll keep building the kind of world we want to live in. One breakfast plate, one hug, one new neighbor at a time.
Wishing you all rest and really good food in the upcoming weeks.
With immense gratitude,
Maggie
