Take Action to address food insecurity in Raleigh

We’re starting 2026 with full hearts from an incredible year behind us. And right alongside that joy, we’re also carrying some real grief. The world feels heavy. So many of our friends are navigating hard things– housing insecurity, hunger, and the exhausting work of just getting through the week.

I’m sitting here and can’t stop thinking about all of you. I have one last thing to say before the year ends. Thank you. Thank you for being part of this wild, beautiful, hard, hope-filled year at A Place at the Table.

This time of year can feel extra tender. There’s joy, yes, but also aching. We feel the weight of empty chairs at the table, of friends struggling to get by, of stories we wish we could un-hear. And this week, in the quiet just before the new year, that weight feels even heavier.
